Article reports that Mifid II’s best execution reports are being underused and firms are struggling to comply with a recent update to the regulations, according to several industry experts. The lack of a clear regulatory guidance by national regulators across the EU have led to uncertainties on the directive’s best execution obligations – regulatory technical standard (RTS) 27 – which requires firms to provide best execution reports, free of charge and downloadable in a machine-readable format.
