LEBA OMPs have been working hard on next stage
data quality reporting by OMPs under REMIT. A series of workshops over recent months with the ACER team has looked across the gamut topics raised in the prior
ACER REMIT Quarterly [Issue #29]. These have been thoughtful and inciteful collaborations, including the reporting of Exchange blocks, of orders to trade, of spreads /packages and where DMA arrangements are in place. Clearly the requirements for market transparency to the regulators has never been more important, and the fact that the central reporting into the ACER "ARIS" system enables multi-bilateral reporting to individual NRAs to become redundant and it also empowers ACER to enter
MOUs with financial regulators such as that with ESMA which was further publicised at the
ACER EMIT forum on Tuesday of this week and the linked slide deck of that day does illustrate the degree of detail involved.
Today's n
ew REMIT Quarterly [Issue #30] is able to move on and look at matters concerning the operations of RRMs and documentation. Whilst there is lots of work still do, and REMIT FAQs will garner another round of updates for LEBA OMPs, it is nevertheless a good sign that the emphasis on data quality means that it doesn't make the RQ headlines as a recurring topic.
